Important Instructions for Your Visit

To ensure the best results, please carefully follow these guidelines:

  • Fasting: Withhold food for 12–18 hours before the procedure (water is allowed unless otherwise directed).
  • Morning Drop-Off: Pets should be dropped off in the morning so we can accommodate imaging schedules.
  • Sedation (if needed): May be recommended to keep your pet calm and improve image quality.
  • Shaving: A small area may need to be shaved to obtain clear ultrasound images.

These steps help improve diagnostic accuracy and ensure your pet’s comfort during the procedure.

Submit Your Form

Please complete the MVI Owner Information Form prior to your pet’s appointment. This helps us stay on schedule and provide the best possible care.

Dear Pet Owners,

Thank you for entrusting us with your pet’s care. Our priority is to provide the most accurate diagnostic results while ensuring your pet’s comfort throughout the process.

Because we provide specialized ultrasound services across a large part of Florida’s East Coast, our expertise is in high demand. To help us see every pet who may need our services (sometimes urgently) and offer same-day appointments when possible, we ask that pets be dropped off in the morning. We know you chose your primary veterinarian for their knowledge and care, and we are confident in trusting them to look after your pet until we arrive. This approach allows us to focus on thorough, high-quality imaging and ensures every pet receives the attention they deserve.

To help us achieve the best results:

    • Fasting: Please withhold food for 12-18 hours before the procedure (water is fine), unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian. A full stomach or intestines can create gas shadows, making it harder to get clear images, and may cause discomfort during the exam.
    • Morning Drop-Off: On the day of the procedure, drop your pet off in the morning as specified by your veterinarian. As we travel extensively and manage various cases, we cannot guarantee an exact arrival time, but we strive to provide the best care for every patient.
    • Sedation: Your veterinarian may recommend sedation to keep your pet relaxed, as tension or panting can blur the ultrasound images. This ensures a more comfortable experience and accurate results.
    • Shaving: To obtain clear images, we may need to shave your pet's fur where the ultrasound will be performed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us care for your pet.

Warm regards,
The Mobile Veterinary Imaging Team
